Nominations open for the 2026 Ukie Video Game Awards
Celebrating creativity across the UK games industry
Nominations are now open for the 2026 Ukie Video Game Awards, which celebrate the creativity, innovation and impact of the UK video games industry. The awards recognise outstanding work from studios, indie developers, publishers, educators and organisations across the sector.
What the awards celebrate
The Ukie Video Game Awards highlight excellence across the industry, from major releases to emerging indie projects. Categories cover areas such as:
- game design
- storytelling
- technology and technical achievement
- cultural impact
- community contribution
Entries are judged on creativity, innovation, impact and contribution to the wider industry.

Who can submit a nomination
Nominations are open to:
- UK-based developers and publishers
- studios and indie teams
- educators and training providers
- organisations supporting the games industry
Ukie will verify all submissions and may reject applications that do not meet the criteria.
Nominations close at 5pm on Monday 12 January 2026.
A list of final nominees for each award will be announced on Friday 16 January 2026, at which point voting will open. Voting will close at 5pm on Friday 30 January 2026.
