Employer active travel support
Summary:
This scheme supports employers to encourage their employees to consider active travel in their daily routine.
Eligibility criteria:
Participating businesses should be based in Northern Ireland.
Additional information:
Sustrans engages with workplaces by delivering a range of events, activities, training, information and personal support to enable a shift towards active travel to work.
There are one-to-one and online sessions offering:
- information webinars
- workplace pool bikes, e-bikes and free trials
- lunchtime led walks and bike rides
- bike maintenance workshops and free bike checks
- bike registration with the PSNI
- Cycle to Work Day events
- step challenges and competitions
- active travel planning for commuters
- assistance in developing a workplace Active Travel Plan
- recruitment and training of workplace Active Travel Champions
- Cycle-Friendly Employer accreditation advice and support
- Active Travel Challenge
- promotion of the PHA’s 5 steps to wellbeing
