Leading within a Group Programme

The programme provides leadership support for Northern Ireland MDs/Site Leads of internationally owned companies. It is tailored specifically to help externally owned companies manage issues and grow the Northern Ireland site within a broader Group context, incorporating a blended approach of executive education, executive coaching and peer networks.

    The programme provides leadership support for Northern Ireland MDs/Site Leads of internationally owned companies. It is tailored specifically to help externally owned companies manage issues and grow the Northern Ireland site within a broader Group context, incorporating a blended approach of executive education, executive coaching and peer networks.

      Eligibility criteria:

      This support is available to Invest Northern Ireland customers who meet the following criteria:

      • The applicant business must be located within Northern Ireland and be part of a Group with a parent company based elsewhere.
      • The applicant has an ambition to grow and improve the performance of the Northern Ireland site.
      • The applicant can demonstrate their commitment and time available to work with the Executive Coaches, attend workshops and participate in networks

      If your business can show that it intends to sell outside Northern Ireland, is actively pursuing growth plans and will contribute to increasing productivity and innovation in Northern Ireland, you could become a customer with Invest NI.

      The criteria for Invest NI customers is as follows:

      • actual turnover >= £250,000
      • actual external sales >= 25 per cent or £250,000 per annum
      • growth potential

      Growth potential is defined by Invest NI as:

      • potential employment growth >= 20 per cent or >= 20 jobs within three years; or
      • potential external sales growth >=20 per cent or >= £500,000 within three years; or
      • potential increase in GVA / employee >= 20 per cent within three years
      Additional information:

      The programme lasts for six months. Key elements include:

      • Executive education - access to global best practice in leadership and international growth enhanced through the use of inspirational speakers/practitioners and relevant international case studies.
      • Executive coaching - experienced Executive Coaches will work closely with the site leads to challenge them on how they use the knowledge gained from each Executive Education module to build their leadership competencies and to drive business growth.
      • Peer networks – participants will make strong connections with other business leaders operating within a Group structure to share best practice and provide support.
