Open Grants Programme

The Clothworkers' Foundation Open Grants Programme offers capital funding to UK not-for-profit organisations.

Who it is for

To be eligible to apply, both the organisation and its project must be eligible.

Organisations must be in the UK and:

  1. UK-registered charities, or organisations that are able to demonstrate their not-for-profit status and with appropriate asset locks (eg CICs without share capital and Community Benefit Societies).
  2. With an annual turnover of less than £10 million if applying for a grant of more than £15,000 (a ‘Large Grant’).
  3. With an annual turnover of less than £2 million if applying for a grant of £15,000 or less (a ‘Small Grant’).
  4. You must be able to demonstrate that the work of your organisation fits within one or more of the Programme Areas, and that at least 50% of service users benefiting from the capital project are from one or more of those groups.
