Applications open for TechX Accelerator 2026
Support for entrepreneurs developing high-potential net zero solutions
Innovative energy start-ups can apply for the TechX Accelerator 2026, run by the Net Zero Technology Centre (NZTC) in Aberdeen. This 14-week programme helps early-stage businesses develop affordable, sustainable technologies that support the transition to net zero.
Participants will receive:
- up to £50,000 in grant funding
- field trial opportunities
- access to technology experts and mentors
- guidance on prototyping, pitching, and investor readiness
- access to NZTC’s extensive industry network
The accelerator focuses on technologies that advance carbon capture, renewables and grid systems, hydrogen and alternative fuels, and industrial decarbonisation.
Who can apply
TechX is open to start-ups worldwide that are developing early-stage net zero technologies at technology readiness levels (TRL) 3 to 6. Both single and multi-founder teams are eligible to apply.

The deadline for applications is 11:59pm on 5 January 2026.
In the lead-up to the deadline, NZTC will host a series of TechX Insight webinars to help applicants understand the programme, eligibility criteria, and application process. These short sessions will also provide the opportunity to meet the TechX team and ask questions directly.
