Protect your business with intellectual property (IP) training in Belfast
The Intellectual Property Office (IPO) will host its two-day IP masterclass in Belfast in May 2026. This CPD-accredited course is for business owners and professionals who want to understand how IP can protect and grow their business.
Delivered by IPO specialists, the course combines expert teaching with hands-on exercises and real-world case studies. You will learn how to:
- protect and defend your IP in the UK and abroad
- search trade marks, design and patent registers
- avoid infringing on others' rights
You will also learn about the role of IP attorneys and when you should seek professional advice.
The course is designed for business owners, inventors, product designers, business coaches, accountants, university lecturers, those responsible for managing an IP portfolio, and anyone with an interest in IP.

The masterclass will take place on Tuesday 19 and Wednesday 20 May 2026, at Lanyon Plaza, 7 Lanyon Place, Belfast, BT1 3LP. The cost of the course is £300 plus VAT.
