New programme to support innovation-led growth across the region

Small and medium-sized businesses (SMEs) in Northern Ireland and the border counties of Ireland are invited to take part in upcoming workshops to help design E-DATA, a new digital support programme launching in January 2026.

E-DATA will offer expert guidance to help businesses make better use of digital technologies, including artificial intelligence, data analytics, automation, and the Internet of Things. The programme focuses on sustainability, innovation, and collaboration across the region.

The 90-minute workshops will help shape the programme, and identify the tools, training, and support businesses need most. Sessions will take place on the following dates:

  • 12 November 2025 - Waterfoot Hotel, Derry~Londonderry
  • 21 November 2025 - Canal Court Hotel, Newry
  • 28 November 2025 - Sligo Education Centre, Sligo

During the sessions, you can share your views on:

  • which digital challenges cost you the most time and money
  • what tools and skills the project should focus on
  • how the programme can help you reduce costs and support low-carbon operations

Attendance is free, but spaces are limited to ensure quality discussion.

Workshop participants will get early access to the programme services starting January 2026.

E-DATA, which stands for Enterprise Digitalisation and Transformation Alliance, is funded through the PEACEPLUS programme, managed by the Special EU Programmes Body. The initiative is delivered by Ulster University in partnership with Atlantic Technological University, Sustainable NI, Manufacturing NI, and Innovate NI.
