If a food safety inspector finds problems with your food business, they will itemise the issues in writing to you. You will be given a reasonable amount of time to make changes unless there is an imminent risk to public health.
Once you have complied with the changes, you must tell the food inspector immediately to make sure there is little or no disruption to your business.
If you become aware of a food incident eg your food has become contaminated - your food must be removed from sale or recalled from customers. You must also notify the authorities immediately. See food safety and animal feed incidents.
If the food has been removed for analysis or examination, you should check with the food inspector for the results.
